If you own a .za website, you are required to implement a banner and link to the South African COVID-19 Website to assist in combatting COVID-19 and Misinformation.

COVID-19 South Africa Regulations

During these difficult times, the South African Department of Communications has detailed interventions around the “dissemination of information” in the country.

As seen in the government gazette date 26th March 2020, the government has implemented regulations to facility the availability and use of digital technologies to combat the spead of Covid-19 in South Africa.

This document seeks to highlight new rules which includes one for website owners who use domains end with .za:

  • All Internet sites operating within .za top level domain name must have a landing page with a visible link to www.sacoronavirus.co.za.
